Thanks to artist Larry Bechtel, you can step into our gallery to “paint” this communal art peace for yourself! The only item required for participation is your imagination; we’ll take care of the rest!

Museums preserve history, but so much of history first lives in the quiet lessons, traditions, recipes, gardens, songs, and love passed down at home. Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at BM&CF!

Larry & Ann have invited us into their imaginations with this fascinating exhibit and we are thrilled to be there! Thanks to all who attended the reception for Just Using Our Imaginations! Make sure to take the opportunity to view this exhibit between now and May 30th.

The Victorians are known for their taste in ornate decoration, from their architecture down to their every day material culture. If you’d like to stop by and see this Victorian handkerchief box, we will have it on display until Friday, May 15!
We have a double feature for Artist of the Month t We have a double feature for Artist of the Month this month! Ann Shawhan and Larry Bechtel's mosaic and sculpture exhibit runs May 5-30th; we'll feature facts about each artist as we move through the month of May! First up is Ann Shawhan!
What a treat to have team members from the I'm Det What a treat to have team members from the I'm Determined Center with us to present a screening of the award-winning film Pulling Threads, a story of three high schoolers who must navigate teenage life with disabilities. This touching film grapples myriad issues with sensitivity, humor, and empathy - a very fitting conclusion to our Tolerance Poster Project show as well. Thank you to all who visited during this special evening! @imd_vdoe
