The 2026 Virginia Tech Football Season schedule has been PUBLISHED and that means it’s time to plan for your tailgating and parking needs!
Football parking is one of our annual fundraisers that allows our museum to thrive, and we are happy to again offer limited season parking space passes for the 2026 Virginia Tech Football Season.
At this time, we are only selling day passes on our website. Some season parking passes are still available – please call 540-443-1601 for our current space selection and to purchase. Individual spaces for sale at $50 each.

Football Parking FAQ’s
Q: What is the address for each lot?
A: Please refer to the maps above as the lots themselves do not have specific addresses – the Lower Lot is on the corner of Washington Street and Draper Road; the Upper Lot is on the corner of Clay Street and Draper Road; the Clay Street Lot is the second lot on your right after the Upper Lot; the Harrell Street Lot is on the corner of Miller and Harrell Streets.
Q: Can I tailgate in your lot?
A: Normal tailgating setups are allowed – as long as everything fits in the parking space or in front and doesn’t encroach on the space next to yours.
Q: What equipment can I use if tailgating is allowed?
A: You may use tents, grills, etc., but we ask that, especially because these lots are used during the week by town employees, apartment residents, and Huckleberry Trail users, you be respectful of any lot in which you park by cleaning up your area thoroughly. Please also be respectful of families that tailgate in these areas as well.
A: If I have a day pass, when will I receive it?
Q: You may pick up your pass at the museum up to three days prior to the game (unless we let you know that they have been printed earlier) and park any time you’d like in the morning, even if we’re not out there yet.
Q: When can I park?
A: We typically staff the lots up to 3 hours before game time, unless it’s a night game, in which case we staff lots up to 5 hours before. If you park before we are at the lot, please ensure that your day pass or season pass is displayed on your dash or another conspicuous area so that you are not accidentally towed. We will only start towing when we get to the lots, so if another car is in your space when you arrive earlier, please be patient and park in another spot until you see us.
Q: Can I park in the lot overnight?
A: We do not have control over the lots except during the hours stated above.
Q: Is my space guaranteed for the whole day?
A: Yes, your spot is guaranteed for the day.
Q: How close is each lot to the stadium?
A: All four of our lots and the museum are quite close together and all are about a 5 to 10 minute walk to the stadium.
Q: Will I have access to restrooms?
A: We have a portable toilet at the Harrell Street that all our parkers may use. You can always come into the museum to use the facilities – we are open from 10am-4pm.
