Check out our new Artifact of the Week! We are so fortunate to have a modest collection of Blacksburg High School ‘Tattle-Tale’s’ going all the way back to the 1930s. If you’d like to stop by and see what the kids of the mid-twentieth century were talking about, we will have this artifact on display until Friday, July 31!

Take a look at this collection of Steppin' Out t-shirts generously donated to the museum! As you can see, we have a shirt to represent most of the previous events, but we need a few to fill in the gaps, and this is where you come in!

This week we pulled the old doorbell up from the archives!

This bell is quite typical for a large home in the early 20th century, as it was an early notification system for the house staff. The bell had several different connection points to the front door, dining room, upstairs, and downstairs.

We will have this artifact on display until Friday, July 24. Make sure to stop by and check it out!

Sometimes serenity is as simple as fresh lavender gathered from the garden in the morning and lovingly tucked into tiny glass bottles.

The house is blooming with small moments like these. Come wander, linger, and let history and summer share a room for a while. 💜
