This historic Hall stands as a living memory of a This historic Hall stands as a living memory of a neighborhood built on resilience and community. Within these walls, laughter echoed late into the evening, and generations gathered to celebrate, organize, and dream forward.

It is our honor to help ensure that these stories continue to be told. Yesterday, the BM&CF and Town of Blacksburg team installed new banners at St. Luke & Odd Fellows Hall that indicate renovations to the structure and the surrounding property that was once New Town, one of five segregated Black neighborhoods in Blacksburg. As the steward of this historic site, BM&CF is currently working with former New Town residents on new exterior features and interior exhibits. These important elements will collectively tell the story of both the Hall as a central gathering place and mutual aid society, and the people it served.
We remember. We remember.
