Here’s just a small glimpse of behind the scenes t Here’s just a small glimpse of behind the scenes to opening night from our last art exhibit! From planning and preparation to installation, countless hours go into creating experiences that educate, inspire, and connect our community. What visitors see when they walk through our doors is only part of the story.

If you believe in the power of art, history, and shared stories, we invite you to support the museum’s mission. Every contribution helps us continue creating spaces where curiosity can flourish and connections can grow. Thanks for being part of the wonder!

This statue is one of the 16 Frogs of Blacksburg a This statue is one of the 16 Frogs of Blacksburg and his name is Gilbert Vaughn. Each of the frogs that are located throughout the town pay homage to significant figures in Blacksburg’s History, and Gilbert here is one of the pillars of the New Town community. Named after the first Black landowner of the neighborhood, the frog honors his legacy. Donate at the link in our bio to contribute to more monuments honoring the Black stories of New Town!
It was a beautiful afternoon of music, fellowship, It was a beautiful afternoon of music, fellowship, and community spirit at yesterday’s Gospel Sing at the St. Luke & Odd Fellows Hall.

We are grateful to every performer, volunteer, and supporter who helped make the event a success. Events like Gospel Sing not only preserve cherished traditions but also help keep our community spaces vibrant and active for future generations.

As we continue our fundraising efforts for the museum, we invite those who value programs like this to consider supporting our mission. Every contribution helps us preserve local history, provide meaningful community events, and ensure that this special gathering place remains a home for connection.

jukebox that used to live in the hall was a core part of the community gatherings hosted here. While the hall served as a meeting space for three fraternities, it also served as a dance hall! Help us tell this part of the halls history by donating through Give Local NRV!
