Our visitors often ask for the story behind the wallpaper in the Alexander Black House. While the wallpaper is not original, it is from a company called Bradbury & Bradbury that makes William Morris inspired wallpaper.

The wallpaper throughout the house was specifically picked to match the exterior paint and coordinated with the historic color palette on the interior. Follow @bradburywallpaper for more beautiful designs!

VOLUNTEER HIGHLIGHT: These two NRCC ACCE @nrcced VOLUNTEER HIGHLIGHT:

These two NRCC ACCE @nrccedu volunteers were so incredibly helpful this summer that we hate to see them leave!

Maya has truly been a jack of all trades, whether it be through watching the front and giving tours to our visitors, inventorying gift shop merchandise, organizing files in storage, or researching for some upcoming mini exhibits.

Guy has spent the summer familiarizing himself in BMCF Collections and has been instrumental in cataloging, digitizing, and storing our backlog of artifacts. To date, Guy has catalogued over 250 artifacts, and digitized over 300 artifacts while simultaneously juggling the storage and inventorying procedures of collections.

While we say goodbye to these two gems for now, we feel very lucky that they chose to spend their volunteer hours with our museum. Good luck out there and thank you, Maya and Guy :)
